Monday, details on the latest season of Halo Infinite were unveiled, but it probably won’t be played because the collective decided it is bad. Tuesday, everyone creamed their jorts as a new Dragon Ball Budokai game was announced while I’m still here with Budokai 3 on a constant cycle, and Apex Legends has a new collection event. Wednesday, the first batch of Game Pass announcements was revealed. Thursday, we covered no news as I got out a KSP 2 review and Alexx put out a review of the latest Like a Dragon game, but Wargroove 2 was announced for PC and Switch later this year. Yes, I am very excited.

Onto this week’s free game on the Epic Games StoreCall of the Sea. A puzzle-based adventure that was released in December 2020. I covered it about 20 days post-release date. Based on walking-sim gameplay with interspersed puzzle segments, Call of the Sea was received generally well, though I may have been the grumpy sod to widdle all over someone’s Christmas that year. Don’t get me wrong, Call of the Sea is a gorgeous game with some intriguing puzzles, but once the allure of a 1930s pacific island wears off, the interest falls away in the few hours it takes to complete.

All this week, you can pick up Call of the Sea on the Epic Games Store until the morning of the 16th of March. Staring off into blank space as if I were everyone’s favorite Black lesbian psychic, I see that I’ll have to stumble my way through recommending Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War. A turn-based 4K title in a universe I have about as much knowledge of as I do about the Premier League and its current champions. Last I knew the Eldar beat Arsenal 45 – 1 at home, then again they were using a space marine as their goalkeeper so they were the bookie’s favorite.
