The Xbox Game Pass service saw four unique games added during the second February wave. Now it’s time for a new batch with six more games, ranging from a popular fighting game to the second entry in a popular RPG series with standout anime visuals. Here’s what’s up and coming for the first March wave.

Starting it off is a title that was technically released a day before and that we’ve known about since the Tokyo Game Show 2022 Xbox presentation last September. Guilty Gear Strive is now available for cloud, console, and PC. This 2021 fighting game has been the most successful in the Guilty Gear series and has finally returned to Xbox platforms. After a couple of crossplay betas, this latest release also comes with full crossplay and will allow everyone to play with each other regardless of platform. There’s never been a better time to jump into this flashy fighter.

For those who recently played the remake of Dead Space that was released in January, these next two additions might be of interest. Both Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3 are being added to the cloud through EA Play on March 9th. Each of them has already been available, but it will soon be possible to continue Isaac Clarke’s adventures on more devices. If you’d like to read a review of the series as a whole, Mike has you covered.

March 14th will see a game preview (early access) of Valheim become available for Xbox consoles. Those who play with PC Game Pass might already be familiar with this Norse mythology-inspired survival game since it was added to the library last September.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI joins two days later on March 16th for cloud, console, and PC. This doesn’t include any of the DLCs, but new players will still be able to have lots of fun playing with everything that the base version of the title has to offer. This is also a great time to check out the sixth entry in the turn-based strategy series when the next one has been announced to be in development.

Ending the wave on March 21st is Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom – The Prince’s Edition for console and PC. This RPG is well known for its Studio Ghibli-like visuals, who did help with the prequel. Said prequel was also added back in September during the Tokyo Game Show presentation, meaning that players can now experience both games with Xbox Game Pass. Although this version includes all of the DLCs, Jaydyn wrote a review of the initial PlayStation 4 version that can be read here.

Every wave of new games always comes with a wave of games leaving. Everyone has just a week, until March 15th, to check out the following: F1 2020, Goat Simulator, Kentucky Route Zero, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Paradise Killer, Undertale, Young Souls, and Zero Escape: The Nonary Games.

Samuel (he/him) has been obsessed with video games since he was a kid watching bumbling zombies shuffle down a hallway in Resident Evil 20+ years ago (it's debatable if he should have seen a mature-rated game at that age but he's personally okay with it). His hobby of writing and talking people's ears off about video games has always felt like a perfect match. Feel free to let him talk your ear off on Twitter!: https://twitter.com/xxsammorenoxx
