It has been a busy month when it comes to Xbox Game Pass. Aside from all of the games added during the first wave at the beginning of this month, even more games were announced and dropped during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show presentation last week. Now we have a packed second wave with ten games, half of which are day-one releases. Let’s break down what we can look forward to over the rest of the month.

Starting it all off is one of the biggest highlights of what was announced during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show presentation and a game that many have been waiting for. The PlayStation console exclusivity period for Deathloop has finished and the game is now available for purchase for Xbox Series X|S consoles as well as through Xbox Game Pass for cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Players can experience the tale of two assassins stuck in a time loop for the first time and enjoy all of the previous updates as well as the new Goldenloop Update too.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker is also available to play through the cloud and for Xbox Series X|S. If the name sounds familiar, you might remember it for being added to PC Game Pass back in May. Now more players can try it out, slicing through abandoned spaceships for precious materials.

The next three games are coming soon on September 22nd and they’re all day-one releases. Beacon Pines is an interactive storybook adventure that’s available on cloud, console, and PC. Players will act as the main character in the story as well as the reader of the book by choosing different story paths. It all comes together with cute visuals and a creepy story.

Next and coming to cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S is a game preview of Slime Rancher 2. This sequel to the crop-growing and slime-collecting sandbox follows Beatrix LeBeau again as she travels to Rainbow Island. Waiting for her are new slimes, more resources, and new secrets all to discover.

If you’re looking for something to play with others, SpiderHeck is worth trying out on console or PC on the 22nd of September. Players take control of a spider and one of twenty weapons of their choice to battle against friends or A.I. in physics-based combat. With over 32 maps and both local and online multiplayer, there should be plenty of fun to be had.

September 27th will see two more games being added. The first, similar to the previous title, is filled with bugs as it is the full release of Grounded for cloud, console, and PC. Up to four players can tackle the challenge of exploring a backyard after being shrunk to the size of an ant.

Joining it on the same day is the day-one release of Moonscars for cloud, console, and PC. This grim 2D-Metroidvania follows the warrior Grey Irma as she fights to discover her purpose in a violent world visualized with a dark paint-like style.

Two more games will be available on September 29th. Let’s Build A Zoo is a management-sim that lets you do exactly what the title says. In addition to dealing with different events and keeping visitors satisfied, you’ll also be able to import rare animals and attempt DNA splicing to create over 300,000 combinations of animals.

A game preview of the critically acclaimed Valheim is the next game to join on PC. Whether you want to embark on a Norse mythology-inspired adventure solo or work co-operatively with up to ten others, players will explore a procedurally generated world as well as build shelter and weapons to take on various enemies.

The month ends with the day-one release of PAW Patrol: Grand Prix for cloud, console, and PC on the 30th of September. Eleven tracks based on memorable settings within the PAW Patrol franchise are available for your favorite characters to race on. A split-screen mode also supports up to four players racing at once.

Naturally, some games will be on their way out at the end of the month on the 30th of September. Be sure to check out some of the following before they’re gone:

  • Going Under
  • Lemnis Gate
  • Slime Rancher
  • Subnautica: Below Zero
  • The Procession to Calvary
  • Unsighted
  • Visage

His hobby of writing and talking people's ears off about video games has always felt like a perfect match. Feel free to let him talk your ear off on Twitter!: https://twitter.com/xxsammorenoxx
