Three weeks have passed since Apex Legends began celebrating its fourth anniversary along with its sixteenth season. While players have had a new battle pass and a collection event to work through, it’s now time for a new track of rewards and a new way to play. Let’s break down what players have to look forward to the next time they boot it up.

The highlight when it comes to content is the new Imperial Guard Collection Event. 24 cosmetics can be unlocked during this limited-time event through the exclusive collection packs, purchasing from the store, or by crafting them with Crafting Metals. To make it easier for those with crafting metals, the required amounts will be halved for event items. A reworked Heirloom set for Wraith, Hope’s Dawn, is also available for players that unlock all of the aforementioned 24 cosmetics.

Something worth pointing out is that a majority of the legendary skins aren’t exactly original. Aside from some weapons skins and a new legendary Wraith skin, many of these event-exclusive skins are recolors or redesigns. This may not mean much to new players and plenty of them do look nice enough for recolors, but anyone who’s been playing for a while might want to double-check which skins they have in case they don’t want to craft or purchase something familiar.

Moving onto gameplay updates, the highly-anticipated Mixtape playlist is here. This permanent playlist rotates between the recently released Team Deathmade, Control, and Gun Run modes. These modes have also been added to Custom Matches as well. Available modes and maps will rotate every 15 minutes and points for the Imperial Guard Collection Event free track of rewards can be earned here.

The event webpage can be accessed here if you’d like to read more about the new changes. Although the Mixtape playlist will be an indefinite addition, players will have just two weeks until March 21st to enjoy what the Imperial Guard Collection Event has to offer.
