After the month started with a ten-game wave for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, we now have eight more games to look forward to over the next two weeks. What’s more exciting is that half of them are day-one releases. Let’s not waste any more time and jump right into this second wave.

It all kicks off strong tomorrow November 17th as four games will be added, with the first two being game previews for PC. Whether you found out through the 2021 film, have been a fan of the Dune franchise for a while now, or simply love 4X real-time strategy games with multiplayer, it’s certainly worth checking out Dune: Spice Wars. Its addition also coincides with the upcoming Air & Sand update which will add new buildings and military flying units.

The other game preview is one that was announced for the service during this year’s Xbox Tokyo Game Show presentation. Ghostlore brands itself as an “Eastpunk” action-RPG that’s presented with 2D isometric art and six different classes to mix-and-match abilities from. What helps it stand out is the unique glyph system as well as the inspiration it takes from Southeast Asian folklore and culture.

Coming in as the first day-one release for cloud, console, and PC is Lapin. After construction forces them to leave a hole at a park behind, five rabbits have to go out and find somewhere new to call home. Their adventures will involve speedy platforming and numerous collectibles, including seeds left behind by previous rabbits.

Joining it is the point & click adventure Norco for cloud and console. Merging a sci-fi world with the ruralness of Southern Louisiana, the story follows the protagonist in search of their missing brother. Those who play PC Game Pass titles might remember this from when it was a day-one release back in March.

November 22nd will see another day-one release with Gungrave G.O.R.E on cloud, console, and PC. Following up on 2017’s Gungrave VR and acting as the third main installment in the series after 2004’s Gungrave: Overdose, players once again step into the shoes of Grave in a new stylish third-person shooter.

One week later on November 29th will see a pair of games being added. Insurgency: Sandstorm is the first of these and will be available for cloud and console. This tactical squad-based FPS prides itself on realism whether you’re playing in PvP or its co-op modes.

Offering a much calmer experience is the day-one release of Soccer Story for cloud, console, and PC. This sports adventure RPG takes place in a world where Soccer has been outlawed after a terrible calamity. Having been chosen by a magical soccer ball, it’s up to the player to use it and remind everyone why soccer is great. Both a single-player story and a four-player local multiplayer mode are available.

Ending this month’s offerings on November 30th is the day-one release of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide for PC. Made by the same development team behind the well-received Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and building upon many of the elements used, this is another four-player co-op FPS taking place in the Warhammer universe. New changes this time around include the ability to customize characters and the offer of more ranged combat options.

Naturally, all that remains to talk about are the games that are leaving. Players have until November 30th to check out the following: Archvale, Deeeer Simulator, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Mind Scanners, Mortal Shell, Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator, Undungeon, and Warhammer 40,000 Battlesector.

Samuel (he/him) has been obsessed with video games since he was a kid watching bumbling zombies shuffle down a hallway in Resident Evil 20+ years ago (it's debatable if he should have seen a mature-rated game at that age but he's personally okay with it). His hobby of writing and talking people's ears off about video games has always felt like a perfect match. Feel free to let him talk your ear off on Twitter!: https://twitter.com/xxsammorenoxx
