During one of the many Indie-focused E3 showcases last year, I was pleased to get a look at Batora: Lost Haven, Stormind Games’ upcoming story-driven Action RPG. Since then, we haven’t gotten many details, other than receiving information on a 2022 release. Of course, there isn’t a firm release date or even a specific window beyond this year. However, it seems we will get to see more of how the project is shaping up, very soon.

Batora: Lost Haven is getting a new demo during the upcoming Steam Next Fest. The event will take place from February 21st, until February 28th. Alongside this news, we were given a brand new trailer, which gives more information on what players can expect. Here is what the press release has to say about Batora: Lost Haven.

In Batora: Lost Haven, players will take on the role of Avril – an unlikely young hero and the last hope of a dying Earth, as she travels between planets, meets an eclectic cast of characters, and explores a range of colorful and diverse sci-fi fantasy environments. Along the way, players will be faced with an array of important decisions, the consequences of which can be far-reaching and shape Avril’s personality for the rest of the game. For Avril to survive, players will have to fight, think on their feet, and master the ‘Nature Switch’ ability to balance their mental and physical fortitude while solving unique environmental puzzles.

I’m very excited for Batora: Lost Haven, and I have been since the first trailer dropped last year. I love the visuals and the art style, not to mention the combat which looks to be smooth as silk. That, combined with the puzzle elements and unique mechanics, makes Batora: Lost Haven an indie game to watch this year. It will release on PC and Consoles at some point in 2022.
