Monday, Doctor Who got a “controversial” air date that was about as controversial as wearing a tea cozy when you find one. Tuesday, there is a Fallout-themed Xbox Series XSteel Seed looks interesting and has a new publisher, and Double Dragon Gaiden: The new one is getting DLC. Wednesday, a young lad by the name of Steven Moffat is getting an episode of Doctor Who to write, and there is Sand Land demo. Thursday, Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero (not a sequel to Z: Budokai 3) got some gameplay shown off, and Rooting, Tooting, Cowboy Shooting 2 got a patch.

Moving on to this week’s free games on the Epic Games Store and once again it is a double bill. We’ll start with the repeat, Invincible Presents: Atom Eve, a visual novel released late last year focused on the atomic ginger of the series. The less said about pop groups, the better. Previously available through Prime and available here on Epic, I’m already sick of talking about it after only 6 months. If you’re a fan of Invincible, as Mike and others are, you’ll have undoubtedly picked this one up, either through these offerings or the low $9.99 price.

Moving on to what might save my dad some money in terms of real fishing gear (I doubt it), Call of the Wild: The Angler. What needs to be said? It is another simulator title from the people who made the hunting simulator, Call of the Wild, but now with fish that often look shocked enough (link contains strong language). Released in 2022, there are several DLCs if you’re so inclined, and all this week the DLCs are on sale.

All this week, you can pick up Call of the Wild: The Angler and Invincible Presents: Atom Eve on the Epic Games Store until next Thursday, the 28th of March. Moving on to what is next on offer for us through the Epic Games Store, and it is another 2022 title: Kyle Thompson’s Islets. A colorful and inviting Metroidvania, I’m surprised to find that Islets has an overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam with more than 700 reviews. If only I had the time to play the several-hour title.
