Monday, the Payday 3 and Ready or Not 2024 roadmaps were revealed, and Baldur’s Gate 3‘s 6th patch was released. Tuesday, Neverwinter Nights got an unofficial officially supported patchTimes & Galaxy looks interesting, and NACON is doing another showcase. Wednesday, PowerWash Sim is getting its 40K DLC very soon, and Winter Survival was given a short delay. Thursday, there was a third-party Nintendo Direct with some interesting announcements, and Call of Duty could be heading to Game Pass Day One in the future.

Moving on to the Epic Games Store this week, we’ve got a sequel to 2010’s nail-biting, “If you don’t co-operate, I’m going to throw you out of the window” platformer, Super Meat Boy Forever. Originally supposed to be a mobile-only title, Super Meat Boy Forever became a full sequel released on multiple platforms that was about as welcome as a dog turd in a vestry. Swapping out the tight controls and platforming made for speed runners to wish Alexander Armstrong wouldn’t tell them about a replacement bus service, Meat Boy Forever is an Auto-Runner with sloppy controls and procedural generation. Everything Meat Boy wasn’t.

All this week, you can pick up Super Meat Boy Forever on the Epic Games Store until the morning of Thursday, the 29th of February. Moving on to next week, it is a rhythm-runner title Mike reviewed back in 2021, Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield. Short and fun (if you can play rhythm titles), the soundtrack is where most people will find enjoyment as it plays along to your actions, though for it to truly work, you need to play on the highest of difficulties. Accessibility is there, but when the normal/default difficulty slows you down before every challenge, I wonder if there is much.
