Version 3.4 of Genshin Impact revolved around a celebration and now Version 3.5 continues the trend. The upcoming update is called Windblume’s Breath and is bringing in new events and two new characters, both of whom have been introduced in previous quests.

We’ll start with the character news first. Joining in this new update are the 5-Star Dehya and the 4-star Mika. Dehya is a Claymore Pyro character that fans have been eagerly awaiting, while Mika is a Polearm Cryo character. The former will be running in the Auric Blaze event wish, but an important detail to note is that she’ll be added to the standard Wanderlust Invocation wish in Version 3.6. She’ll also be receiving a story quest around herself and players will be able to obtain her Beacon of the Reed Sea weapon through wishes.

Most of the events will be related to the Windblume’s Breath flagship event. It’s based on the Mondstadt Windblume Festival which was previously the focus back in version 1.4. This loving festival will be the basis for multiple other events and games.

Outside of all that, there will also be a new hangout event with Faruzan, a relatively new character that was added in Version 3.3. A new Chapter III Archon Quest will be added as well. Similar to other chapters, this latter act will revolve more around the Traveler’s story and involve Dainsleif once again. New enemies that players will come across during this quest include a Black Serpent Knight and a new Abyss Herald.

Rounding the update out are some new Genius Invokation TCG cards and a limited-time Heated Battle Mode for the card-based minigame. The new update will go live next Wednesday, March 1st. Samuel (he/him) has been obsessed with video games since he was a kid watching bumbling zombies shuffle down a hallway in Resident Evil 20+ years ago (it's debatable if he should have seen a mature-rated game at that age but he's personally okay with it). His hobby of writing and talking people's ears off about video games has always felt like a perfect match. Feel free to let him talk your ear off on Twitter!: https://twitter.com/xxsammorenoxx
