Some of us are only just acclimatizing to this whole staying indoors thing. For others, it seems to be a matter of persuasion. Either way, several companies are being hindered by this, such as small businesses that require you to go out to them. Others, such as game developers and publishers, aren’t as reliant on you going anywhere; Instead, they prefer you to stay home. I assume that’s the only thing me and any game developer have in common, aside from finishing that box set of Doctor Who long before you had the chance to.

One company that has adapted to this quickly has been Ubisoft, most recently offering Child of Light for free on their own storefront Uplay. This time around it is one of their larger releases from quite some time ago; In fact, it was just over 10 years ago Assassin’s Creed II released for PS3 and Xbox 360, then later on PC. Yes, you are still stuck with that useless spod Desmond Miles, but at least you get to play as everyone’s favorite shadowy figure, Ezio Auditore.

Set during the renaissance of Italy, you’ll be jumping around more catholic mythology than a cat burglar in the east end of Glasgow. You might even get to dance next to David‘s penis. No, not our David, the one Michelangelo sculpted. The guy that posed for that must have been annoyed after years of standing there naked, to be graced with the final sculpture. Yes, jokes aside, it is hard to talk about a game that’s had seventy-two sequels, spin-offs, and a film based on it.

All in the build-up to this free offer this week, many other sites noted that the German site “MyDealz.de” leaked the deal early. It is also worth noting that notable figure Daniel Ahmad brought their attention to the deal via a promotional picture in simplified Chinese that states the deal will start today.
