Gayming LIVE Returns for 2023

Last year, Gayming LIVE became the largest LGBTQ+ gaming event in the United States. Thanks to a variety of events, talks, and surprises, the inclusive and celebratory convention was free-to-access and was everything fans and planners could have dreamed of. This year, the event is officially returning October 6th-8th for three days of free-to-stream content that promises to be bigger and better than ever. Here’s a look at what we learned from the announcement.

Gayming LIVE is an initiative from Gayming Magazine, the world’s only LGBTQ video game magazine which launched in 2019 in the U.K. Last year’s event brought drag performances, celebrities, and plenty of geek excitement to a very open and authentic space for everyone who wanted to be a part of the Gayming community. The Community Zone, an area for conversing with panelists and other attendees, returns as well as the Indie Zone, featuring a two-week stream festival for any indie studios that choose to apply.

Some small local events in major cities will take place alongside the three-day event. Those are yet to be officially announced but information is coming soon, likely this summer. The team behind the event hopes to beat last year’s event, which saw 1.6 million people tune in. Founder of Gayming Magazine Robin Gray even says in the press release that they’re hoping to double that metric. A virtual convention is certainly a great way to do that, seeing as anyone can tune in from anywhere and participate.

Gayming LIVE is presented by Healthsexual from Gilead Sciences.
