Monday, an earnings call let us know Mortal Kombat 12 is supposed to release this year, and someone found an interesting way to draw keys or something with a new Pokémon unveiled. Tuesday, Pokémon did another reveal to mostly show that Netflix has a new series that will be canceled within the week (knowing Netflix). Wednesday, Prime for March was unveiled and I still hate Jeffrey. Thursday, Resident Evil 5 was updated to be playable on Steam but is still awful, and The Wolf Among Us 2 got delayed after I completely forgot it was in development in the first place.

Moving on to this week’s free game on the Epic Games Store, I’m surprised we’re continuing with the single games for the time being with Rise of Industry. Developed by Dapper Penguin Studios and released in 2019 following a year in early access, the IP was later sold in an effort for the studio to stay open and continue support for something we covered the other week, Recipe for Disaster. Focused on the rise of industry that came about in the 20th century, the depth is there. Overall, the game lacks the ability to engage many players with its rigid and sometimes unfun gameplay.

All this week you can pick up Rise of Industry on the Epic Games Store for free until the morning of the 9th of March. Moving on to next week, we’re continuing the single releases. This time we’ll be covering one I’ve already said plenty on. Next week I’ll have to find something to say about Call of the Sea, a walking-sim puzzle game that tries to be Lost with a hint of the Titanic about it. I’m not looking forward to the double-bills returning, but at least then I can slag off something as well as being disinterested.
