Hot on the heels of the second January wave is the first February wave for Xbox Game Pass. Six unique games make up the new additions, one of which is a highly-anticipated day-one release and two which are new improved offerings. Let’s dive into what users can look out for over the next two weeks.

Two games have already kicked it off and are available now. The first is Madden NFL 23 on console and PC through EA Play. New players that log in before March 9th can start the latest installment of the American football franchise strong with a free Supercharge Pack. If you want to read reviews about it, Taylor covered the Xbox Series X version while Matthew covered the PC version.

SD Gundam Battle Alliance joins it on cloud, console, and PC. Players can team up in groups of three chibi-style units to take on familiar moments from the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, some of which have been twisted into something different.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day is Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord for cloud, console, and PC. After two years of early access, it was released in October of last year to strong reviews. Players create a character and take on quests with their growing armies. If diplomatic persuasions and barters don’t work, they also have the option of leading their forces into large real-time battles.

Dropping in the following day on February 15th is Cities: Skylines – Remastered for cloud and Xbox Series X|S. This new current-gen version of the popular management title is receiving updates to place it on par with the PC version, including up to 25 tiles to build on and a graphic performance upgrade. If you’d like to read a more recent take, Keiran wrote a PC review.

Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition slices in on February 16th for cloud, console, and PC. On top of the fast-paced first-person combat offered by the main game and everything added in later updates, this version also includes a new survival mode taking place within three new battle arenas. Alexx wrote a review from when it initially released last year here.

Ending the wave on February 21st is the day one release of Atomic Heart for cloud, console, and PC. Taking inspiration from titles like Bioshock, Stalker, and Half-Life, this FPS action RPG pits you against mutant monsters and mechanical enemies alike within a “utopian” world.

With those out of the way, all that’s left to cover are the games leaving on February 15th. Players have a few days left to check out the following: Beseige, CrossfireX, Infernax, Recompile, Skul: The Hero Slayer, and The Last Kids on Earth.

Samuel (he/him) has been obsessed with video games since he was a kid watching bumbling zombies shuffle down a hallway in Resident Evil 20+ years ago (it's debatable if he should have seen a mature-rated game at that age but he's personally okay with it). His hobby of writing and talking people's ears off about video games has always felt like a perfect match. Feel free to let him talk your ear off on Twitter!: https://twitter.com/xxsammorenoxx
