Just a few days ago, one of my favorite games was announced for the Nintendo Switch system! If you haven’t already read the title, that game is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. The sequel to the much-beloved Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was made shortly afterward and suffered from an extremely short development cycle of about fourteen months.

This was significantly shorter compared to the development cycle of the first game which was about three years. That short time caused the game to come out in a state that wasn’t initially desirable for the developers and the fans.

Now you might be wondering, why is this game one of your favorites if it has so many problems? Well, at first it was because I was a young kid when this game came out and I had never played a game quite like it before. The second reason is because of the community surrounding the game.

For a game that had some flaws, it has a strong community. So strong that some of them got together to make a mod that restores the missing and fixes the broken content within the game. Known as The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod or TSLRCM for short, it allows players to experience the game in its full glory!

For ages, that content that was restored to the game through TSLRCM was exclusive to PC, but that is about to change. At the end of the announcement trailer for the release of KOTOR II on the Nintendo Switch, they mentioned that coming soon was a DLC called the Restored Content DLC! This means that the Nintendo Switch will now be another place for fans to experience the full KOTOR II journey!

While there is no date for it to come out, the game itself will be out on June 8th, which hopefully means that this Restored Content DLC is right around the corner. Of course, I will probably end up waiting a bit to see if Limited Run gets the opportunity to make a physical Collector’s Edition of the game. Especially since I have already ordered mine for KOTOR. For those who are curious about the price for this game, it is only going to be $15, although it is unclear if the DLC will cost extra.
