Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Available on Switch

One of my favorite Star Wars experiences as a kid was playing The Force Unleashed and delving into the story of Starkiller. It was a blast to play on my PlayStation 3, and at the time it expanded the idea of what a Star Wars game could be like. Now, thanks to Aspyr Media and Lucasfilm Games, The Force Unleashed is available on Nintendo Switch!

According to the press release: “Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games have announced that the Nintendo Wii™ edition of the classic action-adventure game Star Wars™: The Force Unleashed™ is available today on Nintendo Switch™ for $19.99. Become Starkiller, Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, and set out on a dangerous mission to hunt down and destroy the Jedi.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is a riveting untold story set in the time between Star Wars™ Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars™ Episode IV: A New Hope. Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games have also partnered with Limited Run Games to release physical Standard, Premium, and Master editions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for Nintendo Switch. Both the Premium and Master editions include a number of exclusive items for fans and collectors.”

I’m very excited to dive back into the world of Starkiller’s adventure, and hopefully, this might lead to a Switch release for the sequel as well. It’ll be a lot of fun to dive back into playing as Darth Vader’s apprentice, exploring worlds that haven’t really been touched by other Star Wars games. It’s a good time to be a Star Wars fan, with great games in the works, and fun ports like this.
