It’s no secret that I love golf games. Mario Golf, Hot Shots Golf back in the day, you name it and I probably played it…except the PGA Tour games. Maybe I just like the arcade/cartoony golf stuff. Regardless, I’ve had my eye on Thunderful and Chuhai Labs’ Cursed to Golf since it was announced last year. Now, it seems even more people will get to play it at launch than we initially thought, thanks to a new trailer revealed yesterday.

Cursed to Golf made an appearance at the ID@Xbox showcase yesterday. The developers showed off a commentary video and announced that Cursed to Golf will be releasing on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One in addition to the previously mentioned Nintendo Switch and PC releases. Here is what the press release has to say about the new information released.

“In the new video, director Liam Edwards gives us a rundown of their ‘Golf-Like’ adventure that’s featured on a host of “most-anticipated” lists from leading games media. The trailer explains the game’s compelling core loop, gives us a look at some of the fun, world-bending trick shots you can use to beat the game’s hellishly difficult holes via Ace Cards, and offers a tantalizing taste of a soundtrack way too awesome to appear in your average golf game.

In Cursed to Golf, you take on the role of a Golf Champion, trapped in Golf Purgatory after a lightning strike stops you dead in your tracks. To ascend back to the land of the living, you’ll need to play through 18 dungeon-like holes.”

The developers also reiterated that Cursed to Golf will be releasing in 2022. They made a point to mention that there will be more information coming in the very near future, which means a full release date could be imminent. I’m excited to see what Chuhai Labs have done with Cursed to Golf. It looks super fun.
