Well, 2021 was an interesting year, wasn’t it? Of course, it doesn’t take much to top the mess that was 2020. Before we say goodbye to 2021 and welcome 2022, let’s enjoy one last batch of games that are free for PS Plus subscribers. Here are the PlayStation Plus games for December 2021.

First up is Godfall Challenger Edition for PS4 and PS5. It is an Action RPG from developer Counterplay Games and publisher Gearbox Publishing. In it, players take the role of one of the last Valorian Knights trying to save Aperion. These god-like warriors are able to equip Valorplates, legendary armor sets that transform wielders into unstoppable masters of melee combat. You can play solo or with friends via online co-op.

Next, we have LEGO DC Super-Villains for PS4. In it players create and play as an all-new super-villain, wreaking havoc in an action-packed story. An open-world experience within the DC universe, the Justice League has disappeared, leaving Earth’s protection to their counterparts, who have proclaimed themselves as the “Justice Syndicate”. It’s up to you and a crazy group of misfits to uncover the intentions of Earth’s new, strange, wannabe superheroes.

Continuing, we have Mortal Shell for the PS4. It’s an Action RPG developed by Cold Symmetry and published by Playstack. Possess lost warriors, discover hidden sanctums, and face formidable foes as you try to survive in a shattered world. Get ready because your enemies will spare no mercy, and survival demands superior awareness and precision.

The fun doesn’t stop here if you have PSVR. As part of the PSVR 5th anniversary, 3 titles from last month are still available for PS Plus subscribers. While I don’t have PSVR myself, these games look like serious fun.

In The Persistence, you play as a clone of security officer Zimri Eder trying to survive aboard a doomed deep space colony starship that is overrun by horrific monsters. You are the last survivor and your mission is to restore functionality to the ship and somehow make your way back to Earth.

Additionally, we have The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Standard Edition. The PlayStation Store has this to say about The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners: Face all the horrors that the living and the dead can offer in this new VR adventure in The Walking Dead universe. Travel through the ruins of walker infested New Orleans as you fight, sneak, scavenge, and survive each day unraveling a city-wide mystery within the iconic quarters.

Encounter desperate factions and lone survivors who could be friend or foe. Whether you help others or take what you want by force, every choice you make has consequences. What kind of survivor will you be for the people of NOLA?

Finally, we have Until You Fall, developed and published by Schell Games. Until You Fall’s official website says: Grow stronger as you battle through an awesome neon environment and strike down magic-infused monstrosities. Fantasy and synthwave collide in this physically active VR hack-and-slash roguelite from the team behind I Expect You To Die.

There you have it, folks! These games are available until January 3rd, 2022, so grab them while you can! Which game are you most excited about? What do you wish had been free instead? Let us know in the comments below!
