Here we go again, folks. It would seem that enough time has passed since this year’s Steam Summer Sale ended to where the wizards over at Steam Database have been able to make their usual prognostications about the dates of future sales. Valve has taken the usual step of doing precisely nothing in the wake of these probable leaks. It is my sworn duty as Phenixx Gaming’s unofficial Steam correspondent to report on these leaked dates, so let us begin.

You may recall that on October 28th of last year, I reported upon the fact that dates for 2020’s Halloween, Autumn, and Winter sales had leaked. We find ourselves with the exact same information today, only about two and a half months earlier than these dates were last leaked. I’ll cover each of this year’s final three sales in chronological order as well, just for the sake of consistency. So, first up, we’ve got 2021’s Halloween Sale.

According to SteamDB’s leaks, this sale is predicted to run from 10 AM PT on Thursday, October 28th, 2021, to 10 AM PT on Monday, November 1st. As I said last year, given that this is the Halloween Sale, you should more than likely expect a heavy emphasis on horror and horror-themed titles on the front page of the Steam Store throughout the duration of this sale. However, that absolutely doesn’t mean that such titles will be the only ones discounted for these few days. I would argue that you ought to have a look at your Steam wishlist to see if anything else you want might also have its price temporarily reduced.

Next on our list comes the Steam Autumn Sale. This one will at least be active for longer than the Halloween Sale, though not by much. SteamDB predicts that it’ll be active from 10 AM PT on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021 through that exact time on Tuesday, November 30th. To reiterate something else I said in last year’s version of this article, I wouldn’t expect much of an emphasis on titles on any genre during the Autumn Sale as would likely be the case during the Halloween Sale. Even so, there will likely be some fairly decent discounts for you to gorge yourself upon right around the United States’ celebration of Thanksgiving Day.

Next, yet surprisingly not last, is 2021’s last hurrah in the form of the Winter Sale. This one is the longest-lived of the bunch, as is tradition. If SteamDB is proven correct yet again which I personally don’t doubt they will be, given their track record, this sale will begin at (you guessed it) 10am Pacific time on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021 and come to a conclusion on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022.

If this year’s Winter Sale is anything like that of last year, Steam users will probably be able to vote in 2021’s Steam Awards during the sale’s duration. As an additional bonus, if you happen to be one of the really lucky ones who got their reservations in as early as humanly possible, you might be able to play any games you purchase during the Winter Sale or any sales that came before it on your brand new Steam Deck.

The reason I referred to the Winter Sale as “surprisingly not last” is because there’s actually one more particularly minor sale whose dates have also been revealed. 2021’s Digital Tabletop Fest will be taking place from Thursday, October 21st through Monday, October 25th. I probably won’t be participating in this sale, but I figured I ought to mention it for the benefit of those of you who feel differently about tabletop games on the Steam platform than I do. That just about wraps things up here, my friends! Do feel free to let me know in this article’s comments which of these sales you’re most looking forward to, and which games you plan to pick up while the sales are live!

David Sanders is an all-around complete and total nerd - the cool kind of nerd, don't worry. He greatly enjoys many different varieties of games, particularly several RPGs and turn-based strategy titles (especially Sid Meier's Civilization with a healthy amount of mods). When he's not helping to build or plan computers for friends, he can usually be found gaming on his personal machine or listening to an audiobook to unwind.
