There are only a few pleasures everyone can enjoy, popping bubble wrap, scaring an unsuspecting child in a supermarket, and shooting a Nazi in the balls (eyeballs!). You can do the first two in real life without many consequences, aside from laughing too much as a child cries; though shooting someone is frowned upon. So we turn to the wonderful Sniper Elite series for that last pleasure, and oh my, it is a pleasure.

Now Rebellion games are bringing the fantastic Sniper Elite 4 to the Nintendo Switch, so you can drop the kids off at the pool and get a skull shattering headshot at the same time. Personally, I loved my time with Sniper Elite 4. It is a wonderful romp as you slowly crawl your way through enemy territory, perfectly timing your shots to mask the sound and for the bullet to ricochet and kill another man. It is a versatile experience of stealth working in your favor and I love it!

Coming to the Nintendo Switch, there will be some issues such as lining up shots with the stick drift the console is known for. The fact it is slightly underpowered may also hamper lengthier shots, of course, not as detailed as the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, there is a lot of draw distance to cover with such a console. The gameplay trailer for the Switch showcases some of the gruesome Mortal Kombat-style lethal kills the game has on offer, though I’d rather reserve performance and graphical fidelity criticism until I’ve seen it first hand.

The game is available from the 17th of November on the Nintendo Switch, and currently has 15% off on pre-orders. It is also available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
