I am a rather big fan of the Games Done Quick fundraisers that are done every year. Awesome Games Done Quick and Summer Games Done Quick are usually highlights of my Twitch viewership as the year passes. Seeing speedrunners find new ways to break games and exploit glitches is always fascinating to me. Luckily for me (and other fans), 2024’s SGDQ game list has been announced.

Before we get to that though, SGDQ will take place from June 30th to July 6th at the Hilton Minneapolis Downtown in Minnesota. Fans can attend either in-person or online via their Twitch channel, and as usual, all donations for SGDQ will be directed to Doctors Without Borders. In case you weren’t aware, Doctors Without Borders is (according to the press release) “a nonprofit dedicated to delivering emergency medical aid to people in crisis, with humanitarian projects in more than 70 countries.

Also as usual there will be various donation incentives and giveaways included as well. As usual, you can find all of the details for the event on the official website. However, as far as the games list for 2024 goes there are some exciting and interesting additions this year.

New to the SGDQ lineup are more recent games such as Alan Wake 2, Balatro, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, and Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3. Other inclusions that caught my interest were games such as Astral Chain, Bayonetta 2, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, and Gunbrella. As is common, there will probably be surprise game incentives thrown in as well.

I’m excited to see what this year’s SGDQ brings. There’s always a sense of excitement to see that donation total go up, even if I’m not 100% interested in every game being played. If you want to see the full list, you can check it out here. I don’t want to spoil the whole thing, so take a peek at the schedule and let us know what you think of the lineup in the comments below.
