I really enjoyed my time with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown earlier this year. The new Metroidvania take on Prince of Persia hit all the right spots for me. Luckily, it seems that even more features and content are coming very soon.

Ubisoft just released a new roadmap for three free updates to Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Additionally, Ubisoft announced a new Story DLC that will be coming at some point later this year. The first update known as “Warrior’s Path” will be released on March 20th, adding a Speedrunning mode, a Permadeath mode, and new outfits for Sargon.

The second free update, known as “Boss Attack” will add a Boss Rush mode as well as new outfits for Sargon. “Boss Attack” will be released later in Spring. Finally, the last free update in this batch will be released this summer and is called “Divine Trials.”

The Divine Trials update will provide a variety of challenges. These range from combat challenges, to platforming challenges, and even puzzle challenges. The update will also include things such as new amulets, outfits, and more.

While we don’t know much about the Story DLC, we do know that it will be released later this year. The Lost Crown is already dense with content as well, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to make an already great experience that much better. I’m excited to see what comes to The Lost Crown, and only time will tell if there are more updates after the current roadmap.

If you haven’t already, check out my review of The Lost Crown. It is one of the most accessible, engaging Metroidvania games I’ve played in a while. Plus, I just love Prince of Persia, so any fan will really want to check it out.
