I like a good bit of Golf. Watching people play Golf is like watching paint dry, but playing Golf games is an absolute blast. Turns out, a new Golf game has made its way to PC and Nintendo Switch, albeit after a bit of an early-release snafu.

The news for Golfinite actually came across my desk twice. The publisher accidentally announced the release a little early. Luckily for me, they responded quickly enough that I didn’t actually write anything up until they were ready.

Regardless, Golfinite is now available on PC and Nintendo Switch, allowing you to take on 18-hole tournaments across 4 different locations. Here is what the press release has to say about Golfinite’s release.

Pixelated Golfinite, is a golf adventure for real professionals. Here, success will consist of a wide variety of aspects, from the style of play, striking angle, speed, [and] wind direction to the choice of equipment or even the surface of the field.

Players must show that they are professionals, and technical difficulties are nothing to them or… make the game easier for themselves by buying a bit of, “magical” upgrades. So what do you say? Grab a club, because golf’s eternal glory is waiting to be conquered!”

The Steam page also elaborated on this by detailing various other elements of Golfinite, such as upgrades, multiple tournament ranks, and a wealth of various hazards and unique elements. These things make Golfinite more than just your standard game of Golf. Personally, I think it looks like a load of fun, and with it being on Switch, it’d be great for a road trip.

I’m excited to grab a club on Switch or PC. Golf games are what I play when I want to pass the time, and I’m always down to try something new. Hopefully, Golfinite will live up to its goal of being another unique, quirky golf game.
