PC gamers spend a whole lot of time sitting. As such, they’re going to want an eye-popping, comfortable throne that will house them for hundreds of hours to come. While some scoff at how expensive gaming chairs can be, one has to consider the investment of having a part of their setup that they’re using for several days’ worth of their life. E-WIN hopes to be your seat of choice with their Champion series of gaming chairs, and we got one to try out. As someone who has owned half a dozen gaming chairs over the years, I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts on this one!

One of the most vital parts of a gaming chair I consider is its assembly. My E-WIN Champion Series Gaming Chair arrived at my apartment complex mailroom in a box in near-flawless condition. Upon opening, every component was in perfect condition and appropriately packaged so as not to get damaged during travel. This included extra parts/wheels, a godsend that is massively appreciated for clumsy individuals like me. There was no gross aroma that some of these products sometimes present. An instruction manual was included in clear English and the packaging gets an A+ from me.

Constructing the E-WIN Champion Gaming Chair saw a hiccup that almost threw me for a loop. In step 5, I unfortunately tried using the wrong set of screws initially and couldn’t figure out why I was so close yet so far to securing the backrest to the seat. I was under the assumption that the holes were defective. After some quick responses and patience from the E-WIN team, it was smooth sailing after I got past this roadblock as this was the hardest part of the assembly.

The wheels feel sturdy as they were likely reinforced to support up to 400 pounds. The armrests adjust accordingly which is great as I have my desk at an irregular height. However, there are no QC stickers. These are typically peace-of-mind to attest to the quality of a product, but I couldn’t spot any.

After construction, the E-WIN Champion Gaming Chair was ready for a test. I plopped down for 3 hours to work on some Sleeping Dogs. I experienced no discomfort thanks to a built-in lumbar pillow and a head pillow, both constructed of high-density separated foaming. In layman’s terms, it’s a material that’s not full-on leather, yet feels like leather and is the best material I’ve experienced to date.

If I want to lay back, the chair adjusts up to 155 degrees. The seat portion is firm and never hurt my glutes. It’s lacking a pull-out footrest, but I’ve never once used one of those in my chairs. Essentially, this is about on par with the big brand names, but one can expect a similar price point as such.

I typically make most of my purchases on Amazon, so I was concerned to see no listings for E-WIN on that site. Regardless, upon experiencing the high quality of a chair first-hand, I would hazard to purchase straight from the site if you’re in the market and the Champion Gaming Chair catches your fancy. It’s a tad cheaper than brands like DXRacer or Secretlab, but still, it can be a lot to shell out. That being said, the price is right when it comes to build quality. The E-WIN Champion Gaming Chair deserves consideration for prospective chair buyers.
