June was filled with a whole lot of exciting showcases, but there was still time for one more before the month ended. Annapurna Interactive, which is well-known for publishing some rather unique titles, had its own collection of previews and announcements to make. Let’s go over what was shown at the Annapurna Interactive Showcase 2023!

Kicking it off was a game update for Lorelei and The Laser Eyes. The trailer didn’t say much, but it certainly does look like a one-of-a-kind puzzle game with a creepy atmosphere. There’s no release date just yet, but it’s set to come to both Nintendo Switch and Steam.

Next was a new trailer for Cocoon. We see about a minute of new gameplay focusing on traversing through different orb worlds as well as a hint of a boss fight at the end. It’s expected to release on September 29th for both current-generation and last-generation platforms, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass.

Following Coccoon was a reveal for Lushfoil Photography Sim. It appears to be a walking simulator-type of game that features realistic environments to take photos. We don’t have any release date set for this, but it’s coming to PC and consoles.

The next reveal was from the creator of Katamari Damacy and was called to a T. This 3D narrative adventure follows a character who is stuck in a T-pose. Besides exploring a whacky world that includes plenty of interesting characters, players will need to handle daily tasks with the limits of being shaped like a T. We don’t have a release date, but this game is set to come out on Xbox consoles, Xbox Game Pass, and Steam.

Editor’s Note: Annapurna Interactive consulted with people with the AbleGamers charity to ensure that the experience was authentic and accessible.

Next was an update on Flock. Some members of the team showed off some gameplay, which consists of flying on a bird and adding creatures to your flock. There’s no release date yet, but it’s expected to come out for both Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass.

Ghost Bike was another game to be revealed at the event. Spouting a cel-shaded art style, players will ride through a semi-open world at their own pace, all while working to revive the last of the Ghost Bikes. It’s releasing next year for both Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass.

Another update followed, this time for Bounty Star: The Morose Tale of Graveyard Clem. Set in an apocalyptic desert, one half of the game is a third-person action game featuring a mech, while the other half is about increasing your bounty hunting operation. This game is releasing in early 2024 for both Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass.

Thirsty Suitors was the next game to get an update. We got some clips of wildly different gameplay and what still looks like a fun narrative. More importantly, we learned it’s releasing on November 2nd for both current-generation and last-generation platforms, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass.

Ending the showcase was a reveal for Annapurna Interactive’s first internally-developed game, Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth. We don’t know much about it, but we do know that their foray into the influential science fiction universe will be released on PC and consoles.

We also had some platform updates for existing titles. Mundaun is now available on current-generation platforms, Stray is coming to Xbox consoles on August 10th, and Storyteller will release on September 26th on Netflix at the same time a new update goes live. Samuel (he/him) has been obsessed with video games since he was a kid watching bumbling zombies shuffle down a hallway in Resident Evil 20+ years ago (it's debatable if he should have seen a mature-rated game at that age but he's personally okay with it). His hobby of writing and talking people's ears off about video games has always felt like a perfect match. Feel free to let him talk your ear off on Twitter!: https://twitter.com/xxsammorenoxx
