Epic Games is quite successful with its collaborations with popular IP. In fact, when I was playing zero build Fortnite earlier this week, I was playing as Harley Quinn and was killed with a kinetic blade by John Cena. I mean, what other game can match that level of ridiculousness? The new collaboration Epic is teasing comes just in time for May the 4th. While Star Wars collabs have occurred in the past, this one is set to potentially bring new characters never seen before in the battle royale shooter.

Epic is set to launch a new Star Wars event in Fortnite featuring Anakin Skywalker and likely others beginning May 2nd. Two days before Star Wars Day, aka May the 4th, we can expect new skins and items in the shop centered around a galaxy far, far away. Fortnite leaker Shiina also shared that, “Season 3 downtime is now confirmed for June 9 at 2am ET,” meaning you’ll have another two months or so to finish up your current battle pass progression.

To date, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Rey, Han Solo, Princess Leia, and Din Djarin from The Mandalorian are characters you have had the option to buy in other events.  There’s an expectation that the inclusion of a Clone Wars-era Anakin Skywalker may mean we might see other characters from this era of the stories. Padmé, Mace Windu, and even General Grievous would make wonderful editions to the game’s growing list of player skins. We’ll update you when we know the full scale of what this event might mean. Let us know if you plan to check out any of these new Star Wars items in Fortnite in the comments.
