Genshin Impact Version 3.4 Highlights

It has been just about a month since Version 3.3 went live for Genshin Impact and it’s already time to find out more about the upcoming Version 3.4 release. The update is titled The Exquisite Night Chimes” and is based on the in-universe Lantern Rite Festival. Within the new update, players can look forward to new characters, a bunch of new events, and a plethora of free content to earn.

As with every new version update, one of the most notable highlights is the new characters coming during Phase I of the event. This time around they’re both Dendro characters, with Alhaitham being a Sword user and Yaoyao being a Polearm user. The former will be the event-exclusive 5-star for the “Caution in Confidence” event wish. The latter will be available as a 4-star on the same event wish. There will also be a returning wish called “Invitation to Mundane Life.” Phase II of the event will feature the return of fan favorites Hu Tao and Yelan.

A new story quest is being added for Alhaitham, as is an accompanying 5-star Sword called Light of Foliar Incision. Between the new Desert of Hadramaveth region of Sumeru, new monsters, and a new boss, there will be plenty for players to explore.

From exciting minigames like a Beetle Brawl and a martial arts competition, some of the most exciting content and rewards are attached to the new events. Not only is it possible to earn various resources, but a new outfit for Lisa can also be obtained. An especially important part of the event will be called Fortuitous Invitation and will allow players to choose one Liyue character from a group of nine to join their team.

This is all shaping up to be another big event with a lot to do and a lot of fun rewards to earn. Version 3.4 will be going live next week on January 18th. The official preview page can be seen here, while the whole 42-minute special program can be watched in its entirety below.
