Vaulted Sky Games is working with Coffee Stain publishing to produce Midnight Ghost Hunt. Coffee Stain is known for games such as Valheim, Deep Rock Galactic, and Satisfactory, and has prepared a trailer for the upcoming Early Access period for Midnight Ghost Hunt. They also revealed that there are plans for the game to release into Early Access soon, sometime this Spring.

Here is what the press release has to say about this new trailer and announcement. “Narrated by lead developer Sam Malone, the trailer explains the core aspects and mechanics of the game, one in which prop haunt gets a surprising twist. As ghosts battle ghost hunters in a hijinks-heavy tussle between the living and the dead, spirits must possess objects in order to evade the hunters’ DIY gadgets and gizmos designed to detect and dispose of them.

But when the clock strikes midnight, the tables turn and the hunters become the hunted! As the supernatural becomes superpowered, the Hunters have to do all they can to survive the night in one piece.

The announcement took place during South By Southwest this weekend, and more information will be given when we get closer to the release in Early Access. Midnight Ghost Hunt sounds like a solid mix of games like Dead by Daylight, Prop Hunt, and Propnight. Hopefully, it will give a decent balance between Prop Hunt gameplay and the gameplay popularized by Dead by Daylight.

Fans won’t have too much longer to wait, considering Spring is coming quickly. Though that window is vague and could easily mean anywhere between now and June. You can go ahead and Wishlist the game on Steam now, while you wait for it to come to Early Access.
