I’m always talking about preserving older games and allowing new generations to play games that haven’t been made available in a long time. Turns out, Throwback Entertainment has the same idea and has used its MIRROR Soft brand to bring back an adventure game classic. Chronomaster features the voice talents of Ron Pearlman & Brent Spiner and is currently available on Steam for a 35% off launch week promotion.

The game was written and designed by Roger Zelazny, creator of the Chronicles of Amber book series, and was co-authored by Jane Lindskold. Lindskold creates fantasy and science fiction works to this day, so fans of her content may enjoy this glimpse into her past projects. Here is what the press release has to say about Chronomaster.

Join Korda, the Chronomaster, on his epic quest for justice! In this groundbreaking Graphic Adventure, find yourself on a mission beyond your wildest dreams in a future where magic & science co-exist!

Chronomaster will take you on a journey through man-made “Pocket Universes” full of cyborgs, pirates & witches who provide deadly puzzles. Embark on an odyssey to worlds where magic reigns, reality warps & plants speak words of wisdom. Watch as “Bottled Time” affects people and objects in man-made universes that band to different laws of physics.

Can you guide Korda & use this bottled time to solve the mystery, re-start the universes and return justice to the stars?

I hope we see more older games come to PC like this. I hate hearing about games that people loved, that they can’t play anymore. Hopefully, more developers will see the work of MIRROR Soft and Throwback Entertainment and will start trying to put their older content on PC and current-gen.
