I think anyone who has ever worked a job they hated, has fantasized about overthrowing the boss and changing things. If not, then we’ve all at least fantasized about kicking annoying co-workers in the teeth or telling them what we really think of them. Thanks to Malaysian studio Forust and publisher Leoful, you’ll be able to live out those fantasies in an all-new action-platformer called The Company Man.

The Company Man will be released on Nintendo Switch on January 21st and is currently available for pre-order at a 10% discount. A free demo is also available on the eShop, giving players the chance to experience working at the Customer Service department.

Here is what the press release has to say about The Company Man. “The Company Man is a classic action platformer inspired by the popular American TV series “The Office”. You play as Jim, a young salaryman starting out at the Good Water Company. Unsatisfied with how the company is run, Jim sets out to overthrow his boss and become the CEO. Launch email attacks against coworkers with a powerful keyboard, run and jump across departments from Human Resources to Marketing, boost up with coffee beans, and show them who’s boss!

It seems like we won’t have to wait too long before we can forcibly climb the corporate ladder in The Company Man. Hopefully people will get a chance to experience the game and see what this Malaysian indie studio has up its sleeve. I think it could be interesting at least, and I’m always down for a good comedic action-platformer. I’m sure it will be divisive amongst fans of The Office, depending on their interpretation of the inspiration from the show.
