The fateful day is nearly upon us, my friends. The next significant content update for World of Warcraft draws nearer with each passing day. Now that Patch 9.1.5’s release date has been made public, it will be my distinct pleasure to tell you as much as I can about that announcement. Let us waste no further time and get to some details, shall we? I suppose we shall start with a correction I feel I should make to the record in the wake of new discoveries regarding the contents of this patch.

You see, in my original Patch 9.1.5 announcement roundup article from the end of this past August, I noted the existence of a rumor that Blizzard was working on new character customization options for Highmountain Tauren. These new options were rumored to be in development alongside new customization changes that had already been confirmed for Void Elves, Nightborne, and Lightforged Draenei characters.

At the time that article of mine was written, the general consensus among speculators seemed to be that these new customization options for the Highmountain Tauren wouldn’t be ready in time for Patch 9.1.5’s launch, and thus would arrive at some point in the more distant future instead. It would appear that the general consensus was incorrect on this matter, and by extension, so was I. According to the venerable fount of WoW knowledge known as Wowhead, these updated character customization options for Highmountain Tauren will indeed be added in Patch 9.1.5.

There are several metric tons of additional details I could list in this article about the upcoming content patch, but I’m afraid I don’t quite have the time or the wherewithal to cover the entirety of the update in this article. If you want more details about precisely what Patch 9.1.5 will contain, I’d suggest checking out both my previous article on this topic (linked above) as well as Blizzard’s official patch notes.

I’m not ready to sign off quite yet, though. I promised you a release date for this patch, and as the Holy Light as my witness, I shall deliver! Patch 9.1.5 will reach live servers in North America after weekly maintenance concludes on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021. However, I should note as a cautionary measure that World of Warcraft will be undergoing an extended maintenance period the week prior, from 2 am to 10 am Pacific Time on October 26th. It hasn’t yet been announced whether maintenance on patch day will be anywhere near that long, but you may want to prepare accordingly just in case it will be.
