●LIVE IN DUNGEON Brings Streaming Dungeons to PC

●LIVE IN DUNGEON is a dungeon-crawling RPG where you play as an adventurer live-streaming everything you do from the world of Wonderlucia. Wonderlucia is a world where the only form of advanced technology is streaming. It is an odd premise, but definitely an intriguing one. Plus, you get a cat companion, which is likely to help you on your journey of receiving “likes” from your viewers.

This, in turn, helps you on your adventures by improving skills, weapons, and armor. The primary way of gaining these likes is by engaging with your audience. The better your response, the more likes you will get. Seems like a fairly accurate representation of how actual streaming works.

The game itself has been out since June 5th of this year, but the English localization just dropped on the 31st of August. The localization (from what I’ve heard) is really well-made and should give us westerners a good experience at playing this game.

While exploring dungeons, you’ll engage in battles via an Active Time Battle-system. The wait time between attacks can be minimized by once again engaging with your fictional viewers. This just goes to show that the emphasis in this game definitely lies on the idea of this whole thing being streamed to a potentially big audience, which to me just sounds equally odd and fun.

I personally cannot wait to play this game. I’m a big fan of the aesthetics and overall premise of ●LIVE IN DUNGEON, and dungeon-crawlers have always been fairly enjoyable to me. That is, as long as the given gameplay loop and theme are enough to keep me engaged since there’s usually not some huge story to be uncovered.

I will definitely give you my thoughts once I’ve finished this game, so keep a lookout for a future review if you’re interested in this title. ●LIVE IN DUNGEON is currently enjoying a Steam sale for $7.99 (reduced from $9.99) until September 7th.
