I’m always fond of indie games that have a unique look and feel to them. I love the games that go a little outside the box ya know? Weaving Tides is one that I’ve been keeping an eye on, and thanks to an announcement by publisher Crytivo, the game is now available on Steam and Nintendo Switch! Developer Follow the Feathers has gotten together with Crytivo to make this announcement, bringing the game to both platforms simultaneously.

Here is what the press release has to say about Weaving Tides. “Grab a comfy blanket, call your Weaver, and set out on a journey in Weaving Tides. Explore ancient dungeons, solve puzzles, challenge quirky creatures, and unravel the great mysteries of a long-forgotten past!

Weaving Tides is a charming single-player adventure set in a world of magic and textile. Weave your way through the world on the back of a carpet dragon and untangle the heartfelt story of Tass, a young boy on a quest to find others like him.”

Priced at $24.99, Weaving Tides seems to be a colorful, calm, cozy sort of game. A game that is perfect to sit on your couch and enjoy or play on the go during a road trip or quiet commute. Here are some of the features that the developers have included.

Key features:

  • Imaginative weaving gameplay
  • Explore a vibrant woven world
  • Uncover mysteries packed in a charming story
  • Solve peculiar puzzles
  • Befriend three different ride-able Weavers

With E3 on the horizon and a big month of releases in June, it might be easy to overlook a small game like this one. However, I would encourage you to at least give it a look. The trailer looks interesting, and I think we could all use a calm, cozy game like Weaving Tides before the E3 rush hits.
