In August of 2020, I reviewed Manifold Garden, an Escher-inspired puzzle game that captured my attention. It then released on Steam in October, and now it seems PlayStation 5 users are next to get to play it. If you enjoyed games like Antichamber, then this is one you should look forward to.

On May 20th, William Chyr Studio is releasing Manifold Garden on PlayStation 5. It will be priced at $19.99 USD (or your regional equivalent) and will also be free for people who already own the game on PlayStation 4. Along with this announcement, William Chyr Studio revealed that they are producing physical retail versions of both the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch versions of Manifold Garden.

Here is what the press release has to say about Manifold Garden and its PlayStation 5 version. “Manifold Garden is a game that reimagines physics and space. Witness infinity in first-person, and master its rules to solve physics-defying puzzles. Cultivate a garden to open new paths forward, where an eternal expanse awaits.

Key Features:

  • An expansive and visually striking world filled with mind-bending puzzles.
  • Manipulate gravity to gain new perspectives and walk on any visible surface.
  • Experience space in new ways as you explore infinitely repeating Escher-esque architecture.
  • Photo Mode offers fun and accessible tools to use Manifold Garden’s world as a canvas for generating beautiful pieces of digital art.
  • PS5-specific: 4K, 60FPS, DualSense™ wireless controller haptic support, Game Help supported.”

In addition to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, Manifold Garden is available on Apple Arcade, PC, and Xbox Consoles. I definitely recommend picking this up if you have a PS5 and haven’t played it already.
