According to an announcement that was made yesterday on a certain Steam Community page, it seems that tinyBuild and NotGames’ joint effort, Not For Broadcast, will soon be receiving another significant content update. This update takes the form of another bonus episode of Not For Broadcast, in the same vein as its Lockdown update that went live earlier this year. Within the aforementioned post on the game’s Steam Community page, NotGames and tinyBuild have granted players a more detailed look at what this new bonus update will contain.

This update is officially titled The Telethon. Its events reportedly take place sometime in the 1950s, and its plot centers around a titular telethon which aims to raise money for terminally ill children. NotGames and tinyBuild state that this update will feature, “some of your favorite characters from the original timeline and their relatives,” thereby, “expanding the lore of [the game’s] universe.” I’m personally quite interested to see how this update might play out in light of these announced features.

The duo of the developer and publisher also made it a point to mention in that same announcement post that as of the day The Telethon update is currently scheduled to go live, Not For Broadcast will have had the entirety of its audio dubbed into two additional languages, namely Russian and Chinese. The pair state that they’ll strive to translate the game’s audio into more languages going forward, while also including support for dubbed audio in these two new languages in every update from here on out.

Not For Broadcast: The Telethon is currently slated to release as an update to all owners of the game on Wednesday, September 30th, 2020. If you want to check out its official announcement trailer, you can do so below. Alternatively, if this is the first you’re hearing of Not For Broadcast’s existence and you want to learn more about it, there’s a free playable demo of the title readily available on Steam. I wholeheartedly recommend checking it out. If you’d like to read my thoughts on the game’s first full episode, you can also do that right here.
