If you haven’t heard, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a port to the Nintendo Switch. It’s impressive, and a lot of fans are celebrating the move by CD Projekt Red to move the game to the handheld-home hybrid console. Now, you can embrace the port with your whole heart and hands, as an official Witcher 3 controller is on the way.

It’s surprising enough to see The Witcher 3 come to the Switch, along with all of its DLC. The early videos of the game’s performance are pretty good, with the obvious downgrades you’d expect. I think it’s funny to be honest how many people make comments with Switch ports in terms of the game not looking as impressive. Thank you so much for stating the obvious! The truth here is that this massive RPG with an open world (larger than most games) is now going to go where you go via the Nintendo Switch. That’s worth all the positive vibes the internet can possibly muster. Something everyone can get behind, however, is a new Switch controller design.

The controller from popular Switch accessory maker PowerA features wireless connectivity via Bluetooth 5.0, as well as motion controls and mappable advanced gaming buttons like the official Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. The same ergonomic controller design is present, as well the standard button layout. The Witcher 3 design is subtle, with claw marks and a red D-Pad.  The controller, unlike the official Nintendo option, does not include a chargeable battery pack. It does however include two AA batteries for up to 30 hours of gameplay. The controller is officially licensed by Nintendo and CD Projekt Red, and comes with a Two-year limited warranty you can register on PowerA’s website.

Switch controllers dedicated to a game usually sell out quickly, so pick your Witcher 3 controller up without a hassle via pre-order here.
