There’s a heavily dedicated fan base playing Super Mario Maker 2 religiously. Now, a handful of them have banded together to create their own 8-World Mario game. In mainline Mario games like Super Mario World, the Super Mario Bros. titles, and other classic games, Mario takes on 8 separate worlds full of levels. It’s one of the few things missing from Super Mario Maker 2, since the emphasis is on single level creation. Soon you’ll be able to play this collaborated game, according to a trailer.

It’s wild to see so many people on Reddit still posting their levels to the community. The Super Mario Maker 2 subreddit has 5,700 members, many of whom post levels regularly. The best part of the community is the overwhelming positivity. Any thread is full of people sharing their levels, as well as kind words for the levels of other creators. The levels in the community-created Mario game, titled Super Mario Adventures, voted on which levels would make the cut for the final version of the game via Discord and community input. The entire experience will be available in December.

If you’re interested in helping to finish the game, you can be a level tester or give your feedback by joining the group’s Discord.  It’s wonderful to see a great game get this much love from the community, and one of my few gripes with the game was the lack of ability to create a full 8-World game. Now, that seems to be a concern of the past.
