Sales are a constant on the Playstation Store; sometimes it’s for a holiday, sometimes it’s a flash sale. Sometimes it’s a sale with a specific theme, like the “Totally Digital” sales focusing on digital only releases. The Playstation Store is currently running a “Big in Japan” sale, focusing on a lot of Japanese developed games. It also contains games just published by Japanese companies, such is the case with Just Cause 4.

There’s a lot to see, so let me just point out some specific examples. You can fully expect Square-Enix to be in on the sale and they’ve got a lot of good titles out for cheaper prices. All the Playstation published Final Fantasy games (with the exception of the recently released remaster of Final Fantasy VIII) are on sale, from the PS3/Vita PSOne Classics to the newer stuff on PS4. You could get the updated version of Final Fantasy IX for $14.69, or, if you don’t care for those improvements, you can pick up the port of the original on PS3 for a mere $4.99.

If you haven’t played the Kingdom Hearts series, now is a good time, as the “All-In-One Package” that contains all the Kingdom Hearts games (and cutscene-only versions of a few) are available for a comparatively cheap $49.99. How about Dragon Quest? All the Builder and Heroes games are on sale, though, Dragon Quest XI is suspiciously absent.

Capcom has also gone in on the sale. All of the current Mega Man collections are on sale, but you can grab all of them in the Mega Man 30th Anniversary Bundle for a cheaper $40.19. Love Resident Evil? All of those are on sale, from the original Resident Evil 2 as a PSOne Classic to the modern remake. While we’re at it, the Devil May Cry HD Collection is sitting around for $24.74, with the newest 5th game selling for $35.99.

Love anime? They’ve got Dragon Ball games, they’ve got a whole bunch of Naruto games, they’ve got a whole lot of Sword Art Online games. Want a bunch of anime characters in one? Jump Force is there for $29.99. Love From Software games? They’re on sale, including Demon’s Souls ($7.99), excluding Bloodbourne.

Also, as a personal request from me, please buy Zero Escape: The Nonary Games. It’s only $14.99 and they’re some of the best visual novels I’ve ever played. The third game, Zero Time Dilemma ($11.99) is just okay. Really, this can go on all day. Just talking about the PS4 releases is a lot; and there’s much more if you’re still sticking around with a PS3. The sale’s going on until the 24th, so there’s plenty of time to grab whatever you want.
