Spanish developer, Beautifun Games, has announced the release of their third game, Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets. Presently there is a demo available over on Steam and on the Nintendo Switch, and release is set for the 11th of July. However, what is Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets? Professor Lupo is a narrative-driven space puzzle game following the adventures of Professor Lupo and his experimental pets through the eyes of his plucky young intern.

You will be the intern solving over one-hundred puzzles aboard the Aurora space station after some catastrophic events cause Lupo’s pets to run amok. Beautifun’s CEO, Aniol Alcaraz, said, “This game took over two and a half years to make, and we couldn’t be more excited for people to finally play it.” They went on to say, “We’re extremely proud of the work that we did and we hope that you have as much fun playing it as we had developing it. We believe it’s every puzzle lover’s dream game, and we hope the fans agree!”

As I have said, Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets will release on the Nintendo Switch, Steam PC, and MacOS on July the 11th. If you are planning to pick up Professor Lupo on the Nintendo Switch, you will be able to play in either hand-held mode or docked. You can use the joy-cons, touch screen, or pro controller to play. However, if you opt for the Steam PC version you will be able to play in either point and click mode, (using the keyboard and mouse,) or with supported controllers (with only the Steam controller listed).

A demo is available now of Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets on both systems, and if you enjoy the demo you can pre-purchase on the Nintendo eShop with a 15% discount until launch.
