Just the other day I wrote a very long, very strenuous, and quite hyperbolic editorial, partially about the games I want to see and generally my version of “this is the best outcome.” In that article, I wrote about the highly unlikely to the all so real possibilities, however, that’s all they were – possibilities. Soon after it was published, we saw some claims that things were being omitted from the Ubisoft conference and more added to other shows. That’s what happens when you write about shows that are thirteen days away, they change.

However, in the early hours of the morning for Europeans, and late in the night for some Americans, we saw something get confirmed for the Ubisoft conference once again. The third Watch_Dogs game is set to make an appearance, according to the official Watch_Dogs twitter account (@Watchdogsgame). Now calling itself “Watch Dogs: Legion,” which we could assume is the new title.

As you can see above, we’re not given much information. More so a “Save the date!” announcement ahead of the event itself this coming this Monday at 4 PM ET. However, the question still hangs: what is it?

Well, there have been many leaks on the matter, and some from Ubisoft themselves. If you played Watch_dogs 2 after February 2017, you may have seen something others didn’t – coordinates to a shop in London’s Camden Town. These coordinates led to a shop called Cyberdog, a neo-fluorescent and futuristic ravewear shop and possible HQ for Dedsec, in the heart of London. However, since then, Ubisoft went silent.

Then recently another leak popped up into the view of many, giving great details. Not only had this confirmed a London setting, but a female lead, a lack of firearms, a higher emphasis on “parkour,” and another dead relative. At the time, I said I wasn’t too happy with another dead relative for the pile, and I’m still not. However, this, much like other information, is yet to be confirmed. One would assume if these other details are all but confirmed, not much could be changed from the release of the leak back on February 10th, 2019, and now.

If you are still wondering how London is confirmed in the tweet above, the reference of God saving the NPCs alludes to the English national anthem, “God Save the Queen.”
