Some of the most played games in my Switch library aren’t massive, sprawling RPGs or first-party Nintendo gems. They’re games that have a cute or cozy premise, addicting gameplay, and plenty of charm. It looks like another addition to that section of my library is out now with the arrival of Neko Bakery on the Nintendo Switch.

RedDeer.Games published this puzzler that takes place in a bakery run by a whiskered pastry chef. As you work through brain teasers, you and your feline pâtissier bake over 39 types of pastries across 90+ levels. From stacking to switching where ingredients sit on your baking area, the challenge accompanied by the cozy vibes looks to be a great casual experience.

The game is hand-drawn and features a lo-fi and jazzy soundtrack, adding to the calm and casual experience. That said, puzzlers can be sneakily challenging. Fun fact for players too, you might be able to pick this one up on the low. If players purchase Neko Bakery at the launch, they can buy fellow cat-themed games Neko Bento or Fit My Cat for only $0.99 USD.
