There is a ton of speculation surrounding what the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct will show off. We still don’t have much information about the follow-up console to one of the hottest-selling hardware platforms of all time. From a game lineup to the rumored mouse functionality of the new Joy-Cons, a lot remains to be answered. We know the Direct on April 2nd will feature information about the console, but two scheduled Treehouse events on April 3rd and 4th will show off even more details about games running on the console.

As announced by Nintendo of America on X (formerly Twitter), two Nintendo Treehouse Live | Nintendo Switch 2 presentations will feature hands-on gameplay of Nintendo Switch 2 games. The games featured in the Treehouse Live events were not announced but will likely be featured in the April 2nd Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. Given that we know Metroid Prime 4 is around the corner, as well as Pokemon Arceus: Z-A, there’s a good chance we’ll get a look at those two titles.

While those are both Switch games, the official Nintendo Switch 2 reveal trailer did show off a new Mario Kart game that would likely be a Switch 2 exclusive. Just how much of these games are going to be shown remains to be seen. I am a bit skeptical as to how many launch titles will be Switch 2 exclusives, and how many will tread that console generation line like the major hardware producers often do. Still, a powerful, more capable Switch 2 console is likely an immediate purchase for fans who are itching to upgrade from their 2017 setup.
