Nothing happened on Monday because we were catching up with the SNF, so check out the piece about EA releasing the Command & Conquer source code instead. Tuesday, I might have had an explosion in my pocket when the THPS 3 + 4 news came out. Wednesday, Dotemu is making an action-beat ’em up, and The Darkest Files got a March release date. Thursday, THPS 3 + 4 will also remove some stuff (which is understandable), and you can create your own golf course in Under Par Golf Architect.
Moving on to the Epic Games Store for this week, and it is another repeat that is the sole game of the week. Them’s Fightin’ Herds is a typical Mortal Kombat 2D fighter with My Little Pony-style art for the cows that are the main attraction. Realistically, I don’t have anything to complain about when it comes to the My Little Moo-cow fighter, but it isn’t my genre to talk about. I’m one of those Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3-button mashing fighter players, not the combo-focused type.
While there are only 6 characters to figure out and only four buttons to string together for damage, I honestly get confused by people who can talk about netcode. Really, Them’s Fightin’ Herds would be like me suddenly speaking Japanese to you about quantum mechanics; that’s how far out of the loop I am. That said, I am in just enough to know that when it launched (and since), Them’s Fightin’ Herds has been considered one of the best fighters released recently. Small roster aside.
You can pick up Them’s Fightin’ Herds on the Epic Games Store until Thursday, the 13th of March. Moving on to what is coming up next week. Sadly, we have a repeat that will be available again from the 20th through Prime Gaming. Mortal Shell is one of those strange Souls-likes that implements a lot of new systems from the get-go and expects you to “git gud!” Oh, also, there is some utter tripe for World of Warships next week, too.
