Next week, the Steam Next Fest is upon us! As such, a lot of game devs are releasing demos that are vying for your attention. One such game is a new medieval-style Bullet Hell that seems pretty interesting.

LootMage, developed by Curly Mango, has a Steam Next Fest Demo on its way. The demo will be available at the start of the Next Fest on February 24th. There’s no word whether it will be available after the Next Fest ends on March 3rd, but here’s hoping it will be. Here is what the press release says about LootMage:

“LootMage is a medieval fantasy bullet hell Rogue-lite where looting powerful magical artifacts is key to survival.

Wield magical staves, swords, bows, and other weapons to battle enemies, explore treacherous dungeons, and gather potent loot—from mystical artifacts and enchanted weapons to legendary spells that empower you for the challenges ahead.

Featuring innovative systems like the Insignia System and Projectile Customization System, LootMage encourages experimentation and strategic gameplay.

Replay dungeons, try new builds, and fine-tune your loot-based strategies as you progress.”

With tons of synergies, procedurally generated dungeons, and a lot of different kinds of loot, LootMage offers a varied experience with each run. The developer, CurlyMango, hopes to use the feedback from this demo to shift development toward adjusting things based on community feedback.

I’m always happy to see developers taking steps like this to get feedback to improve their games. Here’s hoping that the Steam Next Fest is a valuable experience, especially since CurlyMango is a solo developer. In any case, we’ll see how LootMage plays pretty soon, and I’m excited to learn more.
