Call of Elyndra Gets First Demo

The “cozy game” sphere has expanded more and more since 2020. In recent years we’ve seen heavy hitters like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as well as things like Fields of Mistria and Disney Dreamlight Valley. Now a new demo is available for a promising take on the cozy game genre.

Quorum Games’ debut title, Call of Elyndra has a demo on Steam now. This new game merges Action-RPG elements with the cozy vibes of a farming sim. Here is what the press release says about the new demo:

“The demo will provide more or less 40 minutes of gameplay and will present most of the game’s core mechanics and concepts. You’ll get to farm and fight – all of that in our hand-crafted beautiful world, full of details and beautiful pixel art. The game aims to take the best parts of cozy and action worlds and put its very own, narrative-driven, spin on the formula.

Call of Elyndra is not only a passion project – it’s also expected to be one of the most technologically advanced games made with RPG Maker – an often overlooked or neglected engine. The full version is expected to have dozens of types of enemies, a couple of huge biomes, many items to collect and use to fight and travel, and a storyline to last for more or less 30 hours of gameplay.

The release date of the full version has not yet been revealed to the public. The game is expected to be released on Steam for Windows, with the possibility of later console ports.”

I can’t say that Call of Elyndra will set itself apart from the more popular entries in the genre just yet. However, getting a chance to try the new demo will likely give a lot of us a chance to see just what Quorum Games has done to really create a unique experience. I’m curious about Call of Elyndra regardless, it looks fun.
