Brotato is free on Epic

Monday, Virtua Fighter 5 REVO is coming to Steam but the Americans just had Thanksgiving so I think that’s enough fighting for one year. Tuesday, Conor McGregor continues to be a questionable person, so only now after his recent civil case did IO Interactive pull the UFC star from the Hitman games, and Nightscape now has a demo. Wednesday, House Flipper (yes the first one) is still getting DLC despite the second one being out and finally getting positive reviews. Thursday, Spore-like Strange Seed has a publishing deal, and Steam is doing a sale (you might have heard) so Mike is giving a few cheap suggestions.

Moving on to the Epic Games Store it is a single game this week, one that I thought predated that whole surviving vampires thing. Somehow, I need to try and find something nice to say about Blobfish’s 2023 title that I somehow thought was much older and is in fact just another Vampire Survivors clone, Brotato. Unless you’ve been living under the iron curtain of Elon’s redone hairline, it is a top-down shoot ’em-up with Rogue-lite elements. Just like all of these Bullet Heaven-likes. Yet somehow looks even more like it came from the Newgrounds era of games. That’s as nice as I’ll get.

Moving on to next week it is another double-bill, a double bill of things we’ve not seen on Epic before. The shock, the horror! First up would be Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop Edition, a daily reminder that if I were to do service work as a bus driver, I’d kill several pensioners by breakfast. The second offering is LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the LEGO (I’ll stab you if you say “LEGOS”) version of those films that went, in order: Meh, the best the series has ever produced, and a film so horrible and toxic I don’t want to watch it.
