It is always nice to have an idea of how developers are going to support their games. It’s great to know if your favorite games are going to get more content, especially if you’ve been playing for a while. Inti Creates just revealed details for one of its newest releases, detailing Card-En-Ciel’s foreseeable future.

Inti Creates just released the content roadmap for Card-En-Ciel, which will cover free updates for the next five months. There will be monthly updates until at least March 2025, providing new content and patches with bug fixes. Here is what the press release says about the announcement and about Card-En-Ciel:

“From November 2024, Card-en-Ciel will receive monthly free content updates until at least March 2025, including new Extra Dungeons, ‘Another’ alternate versions of cards, and Challenge Battles.

For the first update in November, several new post-game Extra Dungeons will be added, each with their own special rules. One of these dungeons will have players draw an extra 3 cards a turn, making it much easier to build devastating combos, but the brutal enemies within will require every ounce of power from players.

Another special challenge is a dungeon with 9 floors, triple the amount of any other dungeon. This also means 6 more Muses available to players, enabling truly superior deck builds. But each floor will pose an increasingly harder challenge, with the hardest boss to date awaiting at the end.

Card-en-Ciel is a card-battling, Rogue-lite RPG featuring over 300 unique cards and 50 vocal songs.

Players take control of Neon, a private detective who specializes in solving cases that take place in the virtual net. He must restore order to an in-development game that is under attack by countless characters leaking from other games across history.

Dive into virtual dungeons where each victory earn[s] new cards to add to your deck, strengthen those cards, then take on the powerful protagonists of the invading games. Each card brings a new synergy to your deck, creating combos with each other and the special Muse cards, whose songs add new passive abilities that last for the entire battle.”

In addition to this announcement, Inti Creates also revealed that the soundtrack for Card-En-Ciel is now available to purchase for $24.99 on Steam. I’m interested in checking out Card-En-Ciel, but I’m even more excited knowing there’s more content coming. Whether it is on your wishlist or in your library, this is great news all around.
