I love a good Bullet Heaven/Survivors-like. Spending time with Vampire Survivors again the past week or so has just rekindled my love for the genre. Now, a new entry in the genre is arriving this week with a few tricks up its sleeve.

Pyro Physics, a solo developer supported by a few freelance artists, will be releasing Graveyard Gunslingers on November 8th, 2024. For the first week it is launched it will be 10% off of its standard $9.99 price point as well. Here is what the press release says about the game:

Graveyard Gunslingers brings a fresh twist to the Survivor‘s genre, delivering a 3D top-down Rogue-lite shooter with a dynamic day-night cycle. During the day, players mine resources, expand the map, and upgrade their skill tree. At night, they face relentless zombie hordes that use advanced AI navigation to surround and attack.

In Graveyard Gunslingers, players are thrust into a zombie-infested wilderness where each night presents a new fight for survival—possible only if they’ve prepared wisely during the day. The game challenges players to make the most of daylight hours, gathering essential resources and transporting them to a safe zone.

Once secured, these resources can be used to unlock new skills. Time is always ticking, and night falls whether players are ready or not. When darkness descends, players transform from resourceful survivors into full-blown gunslingers, wielding their favorite weapon to fend off zombie hordes and survive until morning.

In Graveyard Gunslingers, each character you choose brings their own unique playstyle, from close-range fighters to high-damage sharpshooters. As you progress and complete nights, you’ll unlock each character’s ‘signature ability’ — a game-changing power that helps even the odds in the toughest battles. The journey through the game is one of constant discovery and survival: exploring new areas, unlocking totems with skill boosts, and overall finding the most effective strategies to survive all nights.”

The night and day mechanic is interesting. Scarlet Tower is one of the few Bullet Heavens I know of that uses a day/night system, but Graveyard Gunslingers seems to take it in a different direction. I’m excited to see what Graveyard Gunslingers is like though, and November 8th isn’t that far away. If you are a Bullet Heaven fan, this is one to keep your eye on.
