Croc Legend of the Gobbos Release Platforms Announced

A little while ago, I wrote about the announcement of a remaster for Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. This childhood piece of nostalgia is still (hopefully) an exciting end-of-year release for me. Now, the developers at Argonaut Games are giving more details on what platforms Croc will be adventuring on.

While we still don’t have a firm release date yet, Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remastered will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Interestingly, the PC version will be exclusive to GOG, offering full DRM-free ownership. Here is what the press release says about the new announcement:

In development for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation®5 Pro, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Windows PCs as an exclusive on GOG, it is gearing up to captivate a new generation of gamers along with its countless original fans.

Croc Legend of the Gobbos follows the heartwarming journey of an endearing, humble little crocodile equipped with only his iconic backpack and a wiggly butt as he sets off on his quest to rescue the Gobbos from the clutches of the nefarious Baron Dante and his hordes of Dantinis. Croc must platform his way across a series of unique worlds by running, jumping, climbing, swimming, and tail spinning to save the Gobbos from captivity.”

I’m very excited for Croc to return to the gaming landscape. It is truly a cult classic that I hope kids (and nostalgic adults) will enjoy for a long time. We don’t have a release date yet, but I am definitely keeping an eye on it. We will have more coverage when we know more.
