There are a lot of people who love Hiro Mashima’s work. Whether it’s FAIRY TAIL or RAVE MASTER that got you into his immersive worlds via manga and anime, his newest creation will come to life in the form of a video game adaptation next year. EDENS ZERO will be an action RPG that brings Shiki, Rebecca, Weisz, Homura, and other beloved characters from the popular manga for all to play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Like many Konami adaptations, we know this will likely be a way for fans to drop into the arcs and worlds they love, and with EDENS ZERO being as popular as ever, excitement for this release will be massive.

Let’s quickly overview the story of EDENS ZERO in case you haven’t read or watched it. Shiki is living in the dream kingdom of Granbell, surrounded by machines, when he meets the first visitors to the planet in 100 years, streamer Rebecca and her blue cat Happy. This new group of friends now sets out on an adventure to find a mysterious planet-sized mystery many have wondered about for ages.

They explore the universe on the Edens Zero spacecraft left behind by the machine Ziggy, who acted as Shiki’s father and was also known as the ‘Demon King’. In EDENS ZERO, players can tap into a character’s innate power and wield it through Ether Gear, a technology that allows them to harness these abilities.

Konami shares that players will relive key moments from the original story while making their own as well. EDENS ZERO is available now for wish-listing on digital platforms. Information regarding digital pre-orders and launch window will be revealed later. Let us know in the comments if you’re excited to check out EDENS ZERO when it releases next year!
