Cue the shouting match over a sign-in feature to a system that I have not interacted with after a handful of Sony-based PC reviews. New York Comic Con was this weekend, and as a result, several announcements came from it. This includes the announcement of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the Sixth Spider-Man 2. Of course, following The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Enter Electro, The Sinister Six, the god-tier one, and that god-awful one with Sam Riegel replacing an orange cat that likes lasagna. Shut up, that’s a great joke that I’ll keep doing.

Coming to PC in January 2025, the 2023 PS5 release featuring both Yuri Lowenthal’s version of Peter Parker and Nadji Jeter’s Miles Morales is set to get some PC improvements and all the post-launch additions. Including accessibility options such as a screen reader and audio descriptions, new game+, and more, all of which is available in the Standard Edition. The Digital Deluxe Edition has 5 exclusive suits for each respective Spider-Man, early unlocks for two suits (one for Peter and one for Miles), early unlock for the Web Grabber gadget, 5 extra skill points, and more stuff for the photo mode.

The PC launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is being ported once again by Nixxes Software with help from original developer Insomniac Games. Julian Huijbregts, community Manager at Nixxes said of the announcement, “Bringing Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales to a new audience on PC together with Insomniac and Marvel Games has been a great experience for us at Nixxes. We are excited to continue this collaboration and bring Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to PC with a suite of enhanced features, including enhanced ray-tracing options, to take full advantage of a variety of setups and configurations. Stay tuned for more details on features and recommended specs closer to launch!

Executive Producer for Marvel Games, Eric Monacelli, said: “Collaborating with Insomniac Games and PlayStation produced a timeless Super Hero video game classic that, thanks to Nixxes and the support of all teams involved, players can now experience on PC with thrilling enhanced features.

Mike Fitzgerald, Core Technology Director at Insomniac, said: “Our amazing partners at Nixxes have once again done an incredible job bringing the world of Marvel’s Spider-Man to PC players. Our team put a lot of love into this game, and we’re excited that it will soon be enjoyed by a whole new audience with keyboard and mouse controls, ultra-widescreen support, and numerous graphical options that make it feel at home on their platform.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releases on PC on January 30th, 2025. Currently, (as Huijbregts says) there are no PC specs available, but given the last three PC ports (Ghost of Tsushima, God of War Ragnarök, and Until Dawn) all have the same recommended specs for graphics cards, memory, and processor, so I can see it being a similar story there. Whether the performance is stable or not across systems like that, we’ll find out in January or early February if we’re busy.
